Tap’N’Care

Data deletion and account deletion

Last updated October 5, 2026

This page explains how to ask Tap’N’Care Inc. (“Tap’N’Care”) to delete your information. It applies to the Tap’N’Care mobile app and to this website. You don’t need to sign in to the app to make a request.

What you can ask us to delete

Account deletion

You can ask us to delete your Tap’N’Care app account, where you have one.

Personal-data deletion

You can ask us to delete eligible personal information connected with the app, our website forms or your other dealings with us. Depending on how you’ve used our services, this can include:

  • account and profile information;
  • communications with us;
  • information held in or generated through the app;
  • selfies or photos submitted through the app;
  • location and electronic visit verification (EVV) information;
  • information you sent through this website’s forms.

Both kinds of request are subject to the records we’re required or permitted to keep (see below).

How to make a request

Requests are made by email, and you don’t need to sign in to the app. Email us with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”:

In your email, include only enough information for us to find the right account or records, such as:

  • your full name;
  • the email address or phone number linked to your app account or used on our website;
  • whether you’re asking for account deletion, personal-data deletion, or both.

Please don’t send passwords, detailed medical or health information, government identification numbers (such as a SIN, driver’s licence or health card number) or other unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email.

Confirming who you are

To protect you, we may need to confirm your identity before we delete anything, for example by replying to the email address or calling the phone number linked to your account. We’ll only ask for what we need to do this.

What happens next

Once your request is verified and assessed, information that can be deleted will be deleted or anonymized, as appropriate. We’ll reply to let you know the outcome of your request.

What we may need to keep

Deletion doesn’t always mean every record can be erased straight away. We may need to keep some records where the law requires or permits it, or for legitimate purposes such as:

  • legal, regulatory and tax obligations;
  • billing, payroll and employment records;
  • contracts, including care and staffing agreements;
  • resolving disputes;
  • security and fraud prevention;
  • other compliance requirements.

Where we keep information for these reasons, we’ll keep only what’s needed, protect it, and delete or anonymize it when it’s no longer required.
